There is only 1 God, and you are not Him. You were designed to be an overcomer & to conquer adversary. Lean on God. Stop being your god now!
Many look to themselves for provision. They show it in their reaction to need, worry, doubt, and fear. They fail to show that they believe in God, that the Lord is their Shepard they shall not want with an action.
Many look to themselves for protection. They show this in their reaction in defense, offense, anger and more. They fail to show that they believe in God, by being still and knowing He is God that He will fight for them.
Many look to themselves or others for comfort. They show they do not believe with their reaction to illness, sorrow, pain, and stress. They fail to show that the Lord is their Healer, Redeemer, Creator, the Great I am.
John 3:16 teaches us that those that believe in Jesus SHOULD not perish & that they MIGHT have everlasting life. To believe is not to know there is a God. The devil believes that and he is not going to heaven. To believe is to know God's word and apply it. To believe is to trust what God is saying and show that you trust Him with an action in your behavior (belief).
Matthew 7:24 NIV “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
James 1:22 NIV Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
Romans 10:9-19 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Matthew 7: 25- 27 25 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!”
