Do You Have Your Pit Pass?

By Jill Deville / JDM

From the Pit to the Palace will you accept His VIP ticket to His table!??
From the Pit to the Palace will you accept His VIP ticket to His table!??

John 14:6 New King James Version Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

When my kids were younger, we would buy pit pass tickets for the monster truck show. They loved watching monster trucks online, so when they attended the show, they wanted to be close to the big trucks, take pictures with them, and meet the drivers. You might be more familiar with pit pass tickets from your favorite concert or a similar show.

These pit pass tickets are different from general admission tickets. You see a general admission ticket gets you in the door, then you have to sit wherever the seats are available to you, and the view is not as good. The Pit Pass tickets give you early access, V.I.P seating, and access to more options that are available to you.

Jesus gives us the Pit Passes free, he paid for them in full through His blood to give us free access to salvation. To sit at tables that we do not have to impress, beg, or run from. These free Pit Pass tickets give the option to be pulled out the pit and into the palace with options beyond our hopes, dreams, and thoughts. You receive personal encounters with Jesus face to face. However many seem to settle for general admission.

Many people enjoy the attention they get from others when they indulge in self-pity, and as a result, they miss out on the deeper experience. Jesus addresses this in Matthew 6. Salvation is available to everyone, but if you don't use your Pit Pass ticket, it doesn't truly belong to you. Matthew 7 will confirm this for you.

Choose to access more with your Pit Pass instead of indulging in a Pity Party. Embrace The Way, Truth, and Life, and stop opting for your own way, truth, and life.

Why turn to God's creations when you can go directly to Him? He is capable of doing far more than you could ever request or envision.

Certainly, He might inspire someone to help you. So, don't overlook the moment when someone approaches you and says, God instructed me to do this for you or give you this... He's supporting you, and you're connected to Him. Now, let's choose to demonstrate our understanding of this through an act of faith!

Prayer:

Lord when I want to seek pity, when my mind is fixed on pity remind me of my pit pass. I am rebuking pity now from me and my generations to come. Remind me continually Lord that I have a pit pass to your way, truth, and life. Have your Holy Spirit guide, teach, and remind me of your way, truth, and life in the word of God and direct my paths to access and activate the word of God in my actions and reactions in Jesus name amen.

While You Are Waiting:

Lord, thank you for hearing my prayer, I know I am not waiting on you, I know that you are waiting on me as you mature me in faith. I thank you Lord for molding me, trusting me, healing me, and hearing me in Jesus name amen.

What if the feeling keeps coming?

Lord I rebuke this feeling, I know you are renewing my mind, body, soul, and strength and I trust in you in Jesus name. I have a pit pass and I will use it, I will not seek pity for power no more in Jesus name amen.
